Savor the Summer with Archery Summit
Join Winemaker Anna Matzinger and Winegrower Leigh Bartholomew as they taste through and discuss three new releases for the summer from the Willamette Valley's Archery Summit.
Our latest vintage of Vireton Rosé, named for the curving feather on an archer’s arrow, is crafted from 100% Pinot Noir grapes grown on our five estate vineyards. Essentially the earliest beginnings of our single vineyard wines, it is produced in the saignée method—literally, “to bleed”—by bleeding off a portion of wine after only a short period of contact of the juice with the grape skins. Enjoy the beautiful simplicity of this creamy yet bright wine that was created only to deliciously please the palate and the senses.
Our Premier Cuvée captures the holistic essence of our five estate vineyards, combining fruit from across our nearly 120 acres in the Dundee Hills and Ribbon Ridge AVAs. Always full of complexity achieved by the melding of different vineyard characteristics, our 2010 vintage is especially luscious. The abundant mouthfeel and rich fruit characters are beautifully complemented by an acidity that maintains elegance and balance through the long finish, delivering a deliciously classic Pinot Noir.
Arcus, meaning “bow” in Latin, describes our estate vineyard that wraps around both sides of a small valley in the heart of the Dundee Hills. Capturing the distinctive terroir of this single vineyard, the 2010 Arcus Estate rewards Pinot Noir devotees with an expansive nose, compelling mid-palate, elegant finish and a superior expression of true Pinot Noir.
