Detail: I'll be meeting some of my favourite tweeps for a tasting of Nautilus wines in San Francisco alongside some others who can't make it but will be tasting alongside us and posting their comments! We'll be tasting Nautilus Sauvignon Blanc 2009, Nautilus Pinot Gris 2008, Nautilus Pinot Noir 2008!

Nautilus Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2009

A pale straw in colour with green tinges and a lifted aroma of gooseberry, blackcurrant bud and dried thyme. The palate introduces passionfruit skin and a hint of red capsicum. The wine has a rich mid palate with good texture and a typical zingy finish. Delicious now, this wine will continue to develop over the next six to eighteen months.

Nautilus Estate Marlborough Pinot Gris 2008

A pale straw in colour with a fragrant aroma of pears and spice. The palate is medium bodied with great texture and a soft dry lingering finish.

Nautilus Marlborough Pinot Noir 2008

Dark ruby in colour and shows an aroma of wild raspberries, plums and spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied with generous fruit sweetness and succulent tannins combining to give a long warm finish. The primary fruit components showing in the wines youth will further develop and integrate over the next five years as the wine matures.
