Rodney Strong's "Down Home Downtown" Virutal Holiday Dinner Party

The holidays are rapidly approaching. Do you have your meals planned? Have you secured those special bottles of wine for holiday dinners? How about gifts…have you shopped early to avoid the crowds?

At our November 15th Rodney Strong TasteLive wine blogger event, we invited blogger followers and our wine club members to join us on this night for a virtual dinner party featuring four of our great tasting food friendly wines for the holidays, including our 2009 Chalk Hill Chardonnay, 2009 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, 2009 Knotty Vines Zinfandel and red Meritage, 2008 Symmetry. To make life a bit easier, the first three wines are attractively assembled as a gift pack for the holidays and available for doorstep delivery (where legal).

To make the evening more fun-filled, we’ve shared recipes from Rodney Strong’s Down Home Downtown cookbook by Wine Country Chefs Jeff Mall and Josh Silvers. (Another great gift for wine loving foodies.) The first recipe is a great fall starter, Roasted Butternut Squash & Apple Soup by Chef Silvers of Syrah Bistro & Wine Bar, to pair with our Chardonnay and Zinfandel. The second recipe, by Chef Mall of Zin Restaurant & Wine Bar, is anApple Wood-Smoked Pork Chopcreated to pair with our Pinot Noir and Symmetry.

The night's guest list includes the Rodney Strong team, guest bloggers and their followers, and our wine club members ...all signing in to answer and ask questions, and post photos from their dinner parties!
