The Winemakers

The Winemakers joins twelve men and women as they compete for a chance to create and launch their own wine label nationwide. Produced in a reality television series format, this first season of six, 30-minute episodes follows a passionate and diverse group of contestants from the vineyard to the boardroom as they struggle to make their wildest dream come true. About The Wine & the Winner

Well there’s an idea.” That’s a direct quote from the winner of season I of The Winemakers. The winner produced about 9,000 cases of a 2007 California Red Wine. Vintage: 2007

Type: California Red Blended Wine

Alcohol by Volume: 14.5%

Color: Mid to deep red with soft violet hues, fresh, bright and crisp in color.

Aroma: Lovely soft red/blue fruit mélange with gobs of underlying spice and pepper, deep latent black fruits with hints of oaky vanilla, white pepper and violets.

Palate: Medium entry with tight, young fruit tannin supporting the red fruit palate with firm, almost lively crisp acidity to finish.

Winemaker’s Note: Bright fruit, fills the palate with a definite “food friendly” complexity, man this will be an absolute “hum dinger” with anything that involves Chorizo sausage.
