West Coast Bloggers will be tasting two Durell Pinot Noirs and a Mayacamas' Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon with renowned winemaker Don Van Staaveren.

Since 2002, Three Sticks Wines has quietly emerged onto the wine scene as a highly respected producer of exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir sourced from its Durell Estate Vineyard, and more recently, Cabernet Sauvignon blended from three select mountain vineyards in the Sonoma Valley. The winery's fan-base of collectors, sommeliers and boutique wine shop proprietors have helped Three Sticks find a discerning audience who appreciates a winery that allows each vintage to shine through.

And now, in 2010, Three Sticks Wines is truly coming of age. Production has carefully edged up to 1,600 cases with plans for a Napa Cabernet to join its exclusive portfolio in the near future. The team is taking the wines into new markets, hosting events and reaching out to the media to share its wines and its story. They are also very excited to be hosting this TasteLive event From Durell and Above with wine bloggers from across the country.

Three Sticks Wines is a boutique, family-owned winery committed to making small-lot, artisanal wines from exceptional sites, such as our famed Durell Estate Vineyard in Sonoma Valley, California. Proprietor Bill Price, an investor in numerous wine businesses over the past 20 years including Kistler and Kosta Browne, founded Three Sticks in 2002 in his quest to create world-class wines from his Durell Vineyard. Today, that vision has expanded to other remarkable vineyard sites in Sonoma Valley.

Our philosophy in creating wines of beauty and balances is simple: source from exceptional vineyard sites in Sonoma County, farm with earthy-friendly practices and manages for extremely low yields, and the, in our winemaking, handcraft with precision, restraint and finesse to allow the fruit to tell its story.
